Obama’s decision to close the US Space Program.

President Bush Senior, President Clinton and fake President Obama have been waging a war against the US for the last 20 years, and as a result, America has become weaker than it was 20 years ago.

The latest evidence that America is receding is Obama’s decision to close the Constellation Program (a program designed to send American astronauts to the Moon by 2020) and not replace it with any other program.

To quote the Orlando Sentinel:

“The troubled and expensive Ares I rocket that was to replace the space shuttle to ferry humans to space will be gone, along with money for its bigger brother, the Ares V cargo rocket that was to launch the fuel and supplies needed to take humans back to the moon.

There will be no lunar landers, no moon bases, and no Constellation program at all.
“We certainly don’t need to go back to the moon,” said one administration official.”
NASA DOES need to go back to the moon. Every credible president, from Eisenhower to Reagan, believed that America must explore the Solar System and that NASA’s programs benefit America economically, scientifically, technologically, and militarily. Obama and his pals know that – but they HATE the US, so they’re closing every program and every project that would somehow improve America, elevate the country above its competitors, or help it defeat its competitors.
AT commentator Lee Decovnick wrote what the closure of the Constellation program means for NASA:
The closing of the Ares and Constellation programs will make it impossible for NASA and its contractors to ever reconstitute the engineering teams that design and build these launch vehicles. With development lead times in space science and heavy lift vehicles often exceeding ten to fifteen years, America could easily be decades behind Russia, China, Brazil and Japan in the manned colonization of the moon and Mars and in the harvesting of metal ores from the asteroid belt.”
And what does it mean for Florida? Well, it means that 7000 Floridians will be sacked by NASA, and the Floridian economy (into which NASA pumped $5 bn per year during the Bush era) will recede. For America as a country, it means that it’s no longer a superpuissance, and that its space program is less advanced than the space programs of Russia and China.
But Floridians cannot blame anyone except themselves. They voted for Obama on Nov. 4th, 2008, thus allowing him to obtain Florida’s 27 EC votes.
JFK must be turning in his grave. He ordered NASA to deliver American astronauts to the moon by no later than 1970. NASA accomplished the task by 1969. JFK proclaimed that America COULD afford a moon program (she could) – but Obama plans to close it to pay for his ludicrous domestic programs like “stimuluses”.
BTW, why aren’t American scientists protesting against Obama’s NASA program closures? Before Nov. 4th, 2008, they complained that Bush was hostile to scientists and scientific programs, and that he cut spending on such programs. They also hailed Obama and claimed that he would significantly raise spending on scientific programs (incl. NASA programs).
But Obama is actually an enemy of scientists, scientific programs, and NASA. He is opposed to spaceflight programs. (The exploration of the Solar System IS a scientific discipline.) As for President Bush, I’ve already refuted the myths about his record on science, but I shall add that he and his NASA Administrator developed a Solar System exploration plan called “The Vision for Space Exploration”, which assumed that NASA would send American astronauts to the Moon by 2020. But, as the Orlando Sentinel reports,
“The White House budget request scraps the Bush administration’s Vision for Space Exploration and signals a major reorientation of NASA, especially in the area of human spaceflight.”
Obama’s budget will increase NASA spending by a smidgen ($200 mn to $300 mn), but most of NASA spending will be dedicated to politically-correct projects researching the myth known as “anthropogenic global warming”.
AT was right to state that:
“During the Bush years, an effort at NASA to inspire a  bold and very expensive undertaking to Mars attracted some hope for those diehards who dream of space travel, but they never should have said,  “back to the moon” when they were pitching it.  Last week, Obama’s new head of NASA came out brimming with enthusiasm over the brave new cancellation of the mission.    His statement was a laughable spin, trying to make the Obama administration’s abandonment of manned space exploration a kind of an aspirational step forward for mankind.”
The same tactic was used by the Obama Admin this year and last year when it announced its treasonous defense cuts. When they announced their treasonous weapon program cancellations, they presented their policies as “reforms” that would supposedly fix the Pentagon and the military.
Whoever succeeds Obama, he/she MUST rebuild America as a superpuissance. And if America is to regain its status as a Supermacht, it must rebuild its space programs, including a program that will deliver American astronauts to the Moon. America must defeat Russia and China, and all other rivals.
