150th anniversary of the Civil War’s outbreak and 14,000 visitors

Hello, folks.

Yesterday or this morning this blog was visited by its 14,000th guest. Thus, 14,000 non-unique guests have visited this blog since it was established in 2008.

I shall not celebrate today, though, nor shall I post any political content today.

The reason why is that today marks the 150th anniversary of the outbreak of the US Civil War, the bloodiest war in American history. This is not the right day to celebrate nor to wage any political debates. This is a day to mourn and to honor the war dead.

Please pray, and please do a minute of silence today to honor all those who died during the Civil War – Unionists and Confederates alike.
