Ron Paul and his minions frequently claim that he “receives more contributions from members of the military than all other GOP candidates combined”. That is technically true insofar as one counts all the contributions that members of the military make to presidential candidates at all. But the vast majority of them contribute nothing to any presidential candidate, and of the TOTAL NUMBER OF MILITARY PERSONNEL SERVING TODAY (the truly relevant number), Paul gets contributions from only 4.4% of them at most.
This means that no more than 4.4% of the current members of the US military support Ron Paul.
